Rage of the Machine: Death is only the beginning

Story

In the not so near future, the world is full of corporations. One of them has managed to create a unique HMI (Human Machine Interface) that will revolutionize the future. This is the story of one of the technicians working on optimizing such HMI.

It is just another day of a normal week of summer, when the Thomas is connected to a maintenance robot through the HMI doing a systems diagnostics and an "accident" happens. Someone has killed Thomas while connected to a robot. Little anyone suspected that the HMI allowed for Thomas to transfer consciousness to the robot.

It is a race to find the murdered and pay them back. 

Gameplay:

This is a puzzle game in which the players needs to go from point A to point B, by solving puzzles and gathering information.

Exploration:

The player must go around the level and find notes, folders, texts that will help them continue in the game. Passwords can be found, but also story pieces that tell a global story of the main character, side characters and the world around. Also some geeky references can be spotted...

Puzzles:

The puzzles (sadly I was not able to add more complex stuff) is a basic game for bypassing doors. The player can either input the password, or they can bypass the door by using the maintenance connectors that simplify the inputs to a binary combination. This usually means to go from, at least, 1000 options to 4, 8 or 64.

The controls:

Keyboard and mouse. Nothing else has been tested.

• To move: Keyboard (WASD) 
• To activate items in the game: keyboard (E)
• Inputs in puzzles: mouse left click and/or keyboard input.

Known issues:

• Forced resolution to 1280x720 (16:9 ratio)
• If leave the window (alt+tab) and then return to the game, it gets frozen. It needs to be restarted.
